Beginner Courses

We offer regularly "Beginner Courses", where one can learn how to Square Dance. Since November a MS-Class with 4 Students is in place. Rolf Krayer is providing the training with the support of John Sanderlin.

The Next Level

Presently a class for dancers who have graduated the so-called MS (Mainstream) Level to the next level. This level is called Plus. Here they learn more new figures as well as new combinations to the first levels.

Courses I.e. Clogging Workshop

Starting January 2007 we are also offering on Sundays from 15:00-16:00 Hrs., Clogging-Workshops. Anyone interested in a look at Clogging is welcome to come by and try it out. To be sure of it taking place, please call before coming! 

The Texas Armadillos not only have the beginner dancers in our scope, we also have new Leaders on the plate.  In the 5 years of our existence we have provided several “beginner” Callers and Instructors the possibility of showing their stuff at our club meetings! We also offer occasionally a so-called  "Amateur Caller Night", whereby anyone can take a try at Calling/ Cueing/Clog Instruction.

Caller

Presently, Caller Practical Exercise support with the guidance of our Club Caller John is being offered.  He is keeping a watchful eye on our “Apprentice Caller" Rolf Krayer and supports him in his goal to be a Caller and through his completion of his first Mainstream Class.

Instructor

Here we are also offering a young dancer the possibility to advance in her ability as Clogging Instructor. Starting 07.01. Ramona Moritz is tentatively planning to offer Clogging-Workshops until September on a regular basis. She is herewith gaining experience in order to take and pass the Instructor- Test at the Fall Round UP 2007.
